Thank you for your commitment and willingness to be a part of the Fall 2025 Commencement, happening at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the University Credit Union Center (a.k.a. U Center or UCUC, and formerly known as the ARC Pavilion). Your support is greatly needed and appreciated.
Ambassador Roles

Ambassador Room Attendant
Location: Inside (Racquetball Room #1) | Interaction: Ambassadors/Staff
- Check-in/out ambassadors, distribute name tags, meal tickets, and t-shirts.
- Answer questions and update commencement lead on staffing changes/no-shows.
- Collect returned supplies.
- Requires walking/sitting indoors - be our ambassador headquarters!
Accessibility Greeter (Inside U Center)
Location: Inside | Interaction: Graduates
- Assist graduates with accessibility needs (wheelchairs, crutches, pregnancy, emotional support, etc.).
- Escort graduates from the entrance to the arena floor seating and ensure a positive ceremony experience.
- When the ceremony begins, transition to the Arena Floor Team.
Arena Floor - Greeters
Location: Inside (Main Floor) | Interaction: Graduates | UC Davis Robe Required (provided)
- See the grads up close and personal!
- Welcome graduates entering the arena floor 60 minutes before the ceremony.
- Assist with cap, gown, and stole adjustments. Provide customer service and enthusiasm during wait time.
- Ensure graduates remain seated until instructed and assist with stage crossing movement!
- To expedite students crossing the stage, the Aggie Arena Floor Team will assist with student movement and directions.
Grad Help Desk
Location: Inside (Main Floor) | Interaction: Graduates
- Print grad cards for students who forgot theirs or need on-site printing.
- Requires a personal cell phone for DUO authentication and on-site training.
- Assist with signage/table setup and liaison for registration issues.
- Requires sitting indoors - perfect for detail-oriented helpers!
Guest & Graduate Greeter (Inside ARC)
Location: Inside (ARC Lobby) | Interaction: Graduates & Guests
- Direct graduates needing cap and gown pickup to Meeting Room 2.
- Handle ticketing issues by directing guests to the Box Office and serving as a liaison between guests and UCUC staff.
- Perfect for those who enjoy helping solve last-minute needs!
Guest Greeters (Outside U Center)
Location: Outside | Interaction: Graduates & Guests
- This energetic team welcomes crowds and provides directions around UCUC.
- Direct graduates and guests to appropriate entrances, remind them about prohibited items, and handle ticketing issues by directing them to the Box Office (NE concourse level near Peet's).
- Liaison between Commencement and UCUC staff as needed!
Gunrock
Location: Inside & Outside | Interaction: Graduates and Guests
Sport the Gunrock costume and interact with graduates and guests.
Regalia Team - Faculty Party (UCUC Special Events Room)
Location: Inside (Special Events Room) | Interaction: Campus Leaders, Faculty & Special Guests | UC Davis Robe Required (provided)
- Greet campus leadership and assist with regalia dressing (steaming, cap pinning).
- Confirm roles and serve as liaison for changes/no-shows.
- Requires some walking indoors.
- Must enjoy helping VIPs look their ceremonial best!
- The Regalia Captain/Lead will assign ceremonial tasks for each Regalia Team member once commencement begins.
Ambassador Floater
Location: Inside & Outside | Interaction: Guests, Graduates & Team Members
The FLOATER is our flexible team member who assists wherever needed! You'll move between different ambassador areas providing backup support, covering breaks, and jumping in during busy moments. Perfect for adaptable individuals who enjoy variety and helping teams succeed.
Arena Floor - Aisle Marshals
Location: Inside (Arena Floor) | Interaction: Graduates | UC Davis Robe Required (provided)
- Direct graduates to seating upon arena floor arrival.
- Manage student movement throughout the ceremony, ensure graduates remain seated until appropriate times, and assist with row dismissal during name-reading.
- Guide graduates to restrooms/water and ensure return to seats.
- Must enjoy smiling, herding cats, and cheering loudly!
Grad Greeter (SE tunnel of UCUC)
Location: Inside (SE Tunnel) | Interaction: Graduates
- Assist with robe checks, remind grads of prohibited items, and confirm Grad Cards before UCUC entry.
- Direct graduates missing regalia to the Cap/Gown pick-up. (location TBD)
- Liaison to the commencement lead for mobility issues or special circumstances.
- Requires standing/walking!
Grad Scanners
Location: Inside (Main Floor) | Interaction: Graduates
- This role will scan Grad Cards as graduates enter the UCUC.
- On-site training will be provided.
- Requires standing/walking!
- Graduates without a Grad Card will be directed to the Grad Help Desk for assistance.
Guest Greeters (Indoors - Section 212)
Location: Inside (Section 212) | Interaction: VIPs & Special Guests
- Monitor Section 212 (SW entrance), ensuring only designated guests are seated.
- Place reserved seating signs and hold seats until 15 minutes before the start time.
- During the ceremony, escort VIPs to/from the arena floor with the Stage Support Team.
- Requires standing/walking!
Guest Greeters (U Center - Concourse)
Location: Inside (Concourse Level) | Interaction: Guests
- Welcome guests on the UCUC concourse level, distribute commencement fans, and direct them to the QR code for online programs.
- Assist limited mobility guests.
- Requires standing/walking.
- Be the friendly face that sets the tone for families!
Mobility Stop Greeter (Outside)
Location: Outside | Interaction: Graduates & Guests
- Direct guests and graduates with mobility needs to the Mobility Shuttle.
- Requires standing/walking outdoors and serving as liaison between Commencement and UCUC staff.
- Great for those who want to ensure accessibility for all!
Regalia Team - Stage Party (UCUC Special Events Room)
Location: Inside (Special Events Room) | Interaction: Campus Leaders, Faculty & Special Guests | UC Davis Robe Required (provided)
- Greet campus leadership and assist with regalia dressing (steaming, cap pinning).
