Day at a Glance
Ambassador check-in starts at 6:30 a.m. each day in the Rush Lounge of the Golden 1 Center.
Ambassador ready time is 90 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. If you would like to eat before your shift, please plan to arrive no later than 6:30 a.m.for the morning ceremony and no later than 11:30 for the afternoon ceremony.
TRAFFIC UPDATE: Eastbound U.S. Highway 50 in Yolo County is scheduled for a 79-hour closure from 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 13 until 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17. In addition, Sacramento Pride will be taking place on June 14 and 15 and we expect the downtown Sacramento area will be busier than usual on those days.
PARKING INFORMATION:
Complimentary parking for Ambassadors is available in the Downtown Commons (DOCO) West Parking Garage located at 325 L St, Sacramento, CA 95814. A parking voucher will be provided to you after the ceremony, during your check-out process.
ARRIVING AT THE GOLDEN 1 CENTER:
Upon exiting the (DOCO) West Parking Garage, please make your way to the Ambassador Entrance (located at the corner of 5th Street and L street). Please Note: Ambassadors must present valid photo identification in order to pass through the security checkpoint.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT:
Once you are inside the Golden 1 Center, please follow the blue floor decals and directional signage to the Rush Lounge/Ambassador Hub.
You will be asked to scan in and out each day. If you are working both shifts, please check out at the conclusion of your final shift. You will present your barcode during the check-in and check-out process.
Check-In Station (Rush Lounge) Upon arrival at the Rush lounge, please have your barcode ready. To access your barcode from your phone, use this link. To print out a copy of your Ambassador Itinerary, use this link.
Check-Out Station (Arena Floor - Backstage) When your shift(s) are over for the day, please return any materials to the Rush lounge, and make your way to the Check-Out station, where you will receive your parking voucher, to-go meal and gift card (if applicable).
ARRIVAL INFORMATION:
Step 1: Enter Golden 1 via the Ambassador Entrance (corner of 5th street and L street).
Step 1: Make your way to the Ambassador Check- In area in the RUSH Lounge.
Step 2: Present your bar code to be scanned.
Step 3: Retrieve your name tag and check-in with your Lead.
Step 4: Eat and prepare for your role.
Step 5: Report to assigned area.90 minutes before the ceremony begins.
Step 6: SMILE & HAVE FUN!
DEPARTURE INFORMATION:
Step 1: Inform your Lead Ambassador that your shift is over and return any materials to the Rush Lounge.
Step 2: Make your way to the Ambassador Check – Out Station located backstage on the Arena Floor.
Step 3: Present your bar code to be scanned.
Step 4: Receive your parking voucher, to-go meal, and gift card (if applicable).
Step 5: Depart Golden 1 Center, return to vehicle and drive safely home.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
MORNING AMBASSADORS: Breakfast buffet opens at 6:00 a.m. and will be available until 10:00 a.m. Please make sure you arrive early enough to eat before your shift. No Ambassadors should be in RUSH eating breakfast between 8:00 am - 9:00 a.m.
*As a reminder: If you are not staying for the afternoon ceremony,please refrain from eating the lunch buffet in the Rush lounge.
AFTERNOON AMBASSADORS: Lunch buffet opens at 11:00 a.m. and will be available until 3:00 p.m. Please make sure you arrive early enough to eat before your shift. No Ambassadors should be in RUSH eating lunch between 1:00 pm - 2:00 p.m.
*All Ambassadors will receive a ‘To-Go’ boxed meal at the Check-Out station. Beverages and snacks will be available throughout the day in the Rush Lounge.
